October 2021

ALL ABOUT ME...

I can't believe it's already mid-October. Once this month arrives, I feel like the countdown to Christmas really begins and since it's one of my favourite holidays, I am getting excited. Who doesn't love cold dark mornings, hot chocolate, and wrapping up warm?

I recently watched Hocus Pocus to get me into the Halloween spirit. I loved the movie as a child and it's great to be able to watch it with my daughter (she's eight so there was an awkward moment where she wanted to know what a virgin was, but I managed to glaze over it).

Speaking of Halloween... Hallowed Night: A Romance Anthology is currently available to download and it's absolutely FREE. Included in the anthology is my brand new story These Dark Hearts: A Darling Hill Prequel. Harleigh and Nix are just 'chef's kiss' and I can't wait to write their duet, coming early 2022. You can find the download link further down.

What I have been up to lately:

As I mentioned in my last blog post, we had a very busy summer moving house. We're finally settled in and have been busy decorating and updating certain parts of the house - which is fun (if a little stressful). It has meant life has been very hectic, juggling the house, writing, and two children... but it's all worth it and we all finally feel like the house is becoming our home.

My daughter is part of a local dance school and recently had a dance show at Alton Towers (a theme park in the UK). It was lovely to watch her and the dance school perform after eighteen months of virtual lessons, Covid restrictions, and limited performances. Afterward, we headed to the theme park to have fun on some of the rides! The place had really embraced the Halloween theme and the girls really loved their day (even if we all felt completely shattered yesterday).

ALL ABOUT THE BOOKS...

Release news:

The anthology Hallowed Night has been released and is currently free to download. As I mentioned above, this includes These Darks Hearts: A Darling Hill Prequal. You can grab your FREE copy here. There is also a chance to win a paperback copy (signed by yours truly). Head over to Tiktok to enter the giveaway.

I am currently working on Ruined Hopes, the third full book in the Rixon High series. This is Ashleigh Chase's story, and it is due to be released on November 16. I am a little behind schedule but rest assured, the book will definitely release on the 16th. You can pre-order it here.

And some Black Hearts Still Beat news... Once Ruined Hopes is done, I will be working on the next book in the series - Riot. This is Molly & Hudson's story. There is no pre-order up at the minute but watch this space!

Audio News:

I recently approved the samples for Blurred Lines, Tragic Lies, and Savior of Regrets which is exciting! If everything goes according to schedule, you can expect to listen to them in late November / early December.

If you want to check out what audiobooks I currently have available, you can find a list here.

Foreign Editions:

Loyalty and Lies, the first book in the Chastity Falls series released in Italian last week. This series is one of the first things I wrote so I am excited to see it translated into Italian for readers to enjoy.

If you want to check out what's available in which language, all of my foreign editions can be found here.

Other News:

As mentioned in my previous blog, I'm excited to be attending some signings across the world in 2022. The first will be in RARE Paris in April, followed by Tattooed Bad Boys in York, England, and then Wild and Windy in the City, Chicago in May. I hope to see some of you there 🙂

ALL ABOUT WHAT I'M ENJOYING...

I am very busy with writing and life at the moment but I do occasionally try to find some time to relax.

What I've been reading:

I just got finished reading The All for the Game series by Nora Sakavic. I'd been seeing the Foxhole Court all over Tiktok and it had me intrigued. It is a college sports series set in the world of fictional sport 'Exy' (kind of a lovechild between La Crosse and Ice Hockey, I think). But it's so much more than that. The characters are very complex, there is a mafia/organized crime element, as well as some very hard-hitting scenes and subplots. On the whole, I really enjoyed the trilogy, especially the enemies-to-lovers / I hate-you-but-want-you vibes between two of the main characters Andrew and Neil, and the strong found family theme. In case you want to check it out, the first book is available free and you can check it out here.

What I've been watching:

Not a lot at the minute. I really want to start You on Netflix but I don't have the time to absorb myself in a new series yet, so I'm going to wait until things quieten down a little as we get closer to Christmas. But I am SUPER excited about the new Dune movie, and I'll definitely be heading to see that soon. So expect a mini-review on my next blog.

And if you've managed to read until the end, I'm offering a special 20% discount code for all purchases on my online store. Just add BLOG20 at the checkout. Offer expires 10/26.

That's all for now.

Until next time,
